My Audio-Technica AT-PL50 turntable plays properly, but the volume is too law. Please help.? - tv troubleshooting symptoms

Pre-amp turntable switch is configured, and the speakers work perfectly with other audio devices (TV, computers). Everything was going well until I switched the last time, and now, for whatever reason, I must reduce the volume to hear what I just interconnected towers. I have not changed settings or son. The troubleshooting guide is not a solution to this problem. Is this considered a symptom of a pencil is, or is it something else? Thank you.

Under the assumption that the amplifier is good, sounds like the cartridge has gone bad.
In general, die in this way.
Here's a little test you can do to prove it.
Turn off the system, select the phono input and the volume on the bottom. Carefully lift the tone arm on the dish and cable connections on the back of the cartridge. With straight or safety pin, touch the exposed metal area cable from a cable attached at a time. If you hear a hum from the speakers, this confirms that the cartridge has gone bad.
If you do not hear the hum, unplug the RCA cables to the input of the preamplifier, and enter the PIN to one of the pre-amplifier input.
Any buzz? If yes, is the cable from the deck badly. If not, then your preamp is bad or not running.
Thestly, disconnect the preamp RCA cable from the current position on the back of the power amplifier and unused input.
Select the input source and if the Hum-test level is still low, at least you know that the amp is probably the problem.
I bet that the cartridge.
